JOB SUMMARY: The Teacher EAP will teach students between the ages of two and five individually in the student's home and/or community-based setting (daycare, preschool, etc.).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: A teacher EAP must be able to consistently and successfully perform all essential functions of the position.
- Assure that IFSP/IEP mandates are fulfilled
- Demonstrate professional knowledge of children with developmental disabilities
- Coordinate development of reports and recommendations
- Establish and monitor individual casebooks, data collection and charting systems
- Collaborate with related service providers, center-based staff, consultants and supervisors, as necessary
- Conduct educational activities that enhance opportunity to develop skills in areas of need
- Assure appropriate communication with parents/caregivers, including encouragement of parent participation in instructional sessions
- Assure that all required paperwork is completed
