Substitutes: Teacher Aide, School Monitor, Food Service Helper, Clerk Typist
$11.10/hr.
Hours vary anywhere from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
TEACHER AIDE SUBSTITUTE: Fill in for absent employee in various school buildings ? duties to include: Student support in all academic areas that may include: behavior modification programs through encouragement and emotional development; provide direct supervision for student while attending academic classes and extra-curricular activities; provide guidance, support and proximity control throughout the realm of any given school day; duties may include lifting, feeding, and personal care duties that may include toileting and personal hygiene as noted on the student?s IEP.
SCHOOL MONITOR SUBSTITUTE: Manage order and cleanliness in cafeteria, hallway and in a classroom setting; ability to gain and hold the confidence of and to maintain a patient and understanding attitude towards school children; ability to maintain order and to enforce school regulations with firmness; ability to lift and carry cafeteria supplies and materials.
FOOD SERVICE HELPER SUBSTITUTE: Elementary knowledge of the proper method of serving food and the care of tableware, glassware, silver and kitchen appliances; practical working knowledge of modern cleaning methods and the use of cleaning supplies and appliances; ability to follow simple oral and written directions; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. (Must be able to lift 40 lb. cases). Some experience in domestic work including food service and ability to read and write English, or any equivalent combination of the foregoing training and experience. Preparing, cooking and serving food, cashiering, washing and sanitizing food service utensils with other food service activities required for the operation of the food program.
CLERK TYPIST SUBSTITUTE: General office duties - must have the ability to assist in an office setting in a professional, welcoming and efficient manner when interacting with students, parents and staff; ability to multitask, maintain confidential information, and be part of an office team; must also have a willingness to perform any and all duties as assigned by Administrators.
